Spells For Your Wedding Day

January 5, 2025

Whether you are planning a traditional wedding or a traditional pagan handfasting as a witch you want to add a bit of magic to your special day. We got married in a pastor’s office in a Christian church but that did not stop me from working in a little wedding day magic. Our long-term mixed-faith marriage has so far stood the test of time and everything that could possibly go wrong…

The magick you work on your wedding day will follow your marriage, bless your children, and work in protection to help make your day wonderful and bless every day of your marriage ahead.

Something new, something old, something borrowed, something blue…

This list of good luck charms comes from the Old English rhyme, “Something Olde, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, A Sixpence in your Shoe” These good luck charms and a charm for prosperity have been adopted by everyone far and wide but is a wonderful and simple spell for blessing your marriage on your wedding day.

Soap protection spell for future children

Wear a bar of soap to use to protect future children that come of your marriage. Wash your babies with this soap or use it on your pregnant belly to protect your pregnancy when worry begins to kick in.

A travel-size bar of genital soap will fit perfectly in a pocket or even your bra. I had a tiny bar of Dove for peace in my marriage. That said I probably should have used a larger bar. I had not imagined having so many beautiful children in my life.

Marriage Candle

No one will blink an eye at a beautiful marriage candle modeled after a bride and groom. These candles come from voodoo traditions and make a great spell for your wedding day.

Carve your names into the back or bottom of the candle and allow it to burn during your reception. If you enjoy reading wax keep checking in on your candle so you can see how things are going to play out in your marriage.

You can dress your candle with oils to promote goals in your marriage. I always suggest a bit of cinnamon oil for passion and blessing your finances.

Candles make a great addition to your wedding registry that can help spring magic into your home in the months to come.

Flowers in your bouquet

The flowers in your bouquet can make for a wonderful magic spell These4 are all great choices for your wedding bouquet.

  • White heather is a great option for protection and luck.
  • Add holly and ivy to encourage blessings of protection and compatibility from Greek gods Dionysus and Ariadne
  • Lavender to bring love and peace to your marriage.
  • Add in yarrow for 7 years of happiness

Garter spell

For this spell wear a red garter with a piece of silver and charge it with the intention to protect. Adding a drop or two of cinnamon essential oil is another great option.

Gifts for blessing your marriage.

When putting together your wedding registry add in items that will bring protection, luck, and blessings to your marriage. Your wedding registry is a great way to push the changes you will receive gifts that will bless your marriage. Some great ideas include.

:: A goat figurine for fertility

:: A quilt for unity

:: A Brigid statue to bless hearth and home

Remember that your wedding or handfasting is one of the most important days of your life and the energy and intention you step into this day with will set the tone for your marriage.
