How To Make Whipped Cream

July 17, 2019

I love simple things you can make yourself at home. Something about starting with the simplest ingredients and getting something amazing and flavorful can make a day so much better. While we do buy these everyday staples premade we do enjoy making them ourselves as well.

Whipped cream is easy to make and takes a simpler process to make homemade butter with a little less time and effort.

How to make homemade whipped cream

Homemade whipped cream doesn’t take much to make. Simple ingredients like a little sugar or stevia and heavy whipping cream blend together into your favorite sweet fluffy topping.

The easiest way to make whipped cream is to place 1 cup heavy whipping cream and 1/2 teaspoon sugar or equivalent alternative sweetener into a large mixing bowl and mix with your hand mixer until fluffy whipped cream appears. Chill to help it firm up a bit more. Do not over mix or you will end up with sweet butter.

Just like butter, you can make whipped cream in a jar with a marble added. This makes for a great project for kids. Use 1 cup heavy whipping cream and 1/2 teaspoon sugar or equivalent alternative sweetener inside your jar and have the kids shake until whipped cream forms. I suggest using a silicone sleeve to prevent accidents should the jar drop while they are shaking.

When it comes to basic cooking skills this is one that is great for teaching the kids. So often we overlook the simple things and expect our children to figure them out but the truth is just because we had to figure them out doesn’t mean our kids should have to.

If you found this post using google because you needed the answer take a moment to show your kids so they won’t have to come to find this page when they are older.
