We are not really drinkers but there’s something about cooking with Jack Daniel’s that amps up the flavor. I like to add it to my homemade fried chicken and when testing barbecue sauce recipes after trying the Blue Moon barbeque because I decided I had to see what would happen with Jack Danel’s.
I did another classic hickory because I seem to be hooked on the smoky flavor but you can totally leave it out. This Jack Daniels Barbecue sauce is sure to be a hit for your next summer cookout or that big game dish.
This Jack Daninels BBQ sauce Recipe is great because the flavor is richer and bolder then the store bought version. I my make a batch of this to take to the clubhouse for the super bowl foot ball game.

- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1/4 cup minced onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon liquid hickory smoke
- 1/2 teaspoon Cayan pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Make your own Jack Daniel’s Barbecue Sauce
This quick and easy barbecue sauce can be whipped up in less than 15 minutes for a great option for that last minute sauce when you need it for a party.
Mince up your onion and garlic. The best way to do this quickly is to use a mini food processor. This will get you tiny minced pieces without having to spend forever doing it.
Toss all of the ingredients into a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. Stir for about 8-10 minutes to cook it down to the consistency you are looking for.

Ways to use Jack Daniel’s Barbecue Sauce
Personally, I love to use this on the grill. I Love using the grill in the summer months to keep from heating the house while cooking. Kind of like how in the winter I love to use my oven to cook so I can heat the house. Out on the grill, this barbecue recipe mostly gets used on classics like barbecue chicken or a rack of ribs.
Hubby tried it on his chicken wings and the kids enjoy it with burgers (don’t worry the alcohol cooks out.) You can always use the classic Jack Daniel’s sells premade with their barbecue sauce and make it at home like pulled pork.
